Anna GPA Calculator: How to Find Your CGPA
Anna University uses a 10-point CGPA where O = 10, A+ = 9, A = 8, B+ = 7, B = 6, C = 5 (the lowest pass), and U (or RA) = 0. Its official percentage conversion, unchanged across Regulation 2013, 2017, and 2021, is CGPA x 10, so an 8.0 CGPA equals 80 percent, above the 76 percent the CBSE-style CGPA x 9.5 would give.

Anna University Grading and Standing
Anna University requires a minimum grade of C (5 points) to pass each course and clears arrears (U or RA grades) through re-examination. Under Regulation 2021, First Class with Distinction requires a CGPA of 8.5 or higher with no arrears in any course on your first attempt across all semesters; First Class requires 6.5 CGPA. Anna University GPA Calculator Regulation 2021
Regulation 2021 keeps the same CGPA method as Regulation 2017 and 2013: multiply each course's credits by its grade point, sum across courses, and divide by total credits. The one change under R2021 is a new C grade band (41 to 50 marks, 5 points) that R2017 did not have. If you're on an earlier regulation such as R2008, verify your batch's exact grade bands with your department, since the current circular does not cover that batch.
Anna University CGPA to Percentage
The conversion is CGPA x 10 under R2013, R2017, and R2021 alike, so a 7.4 CGPA is 74 percent and an 8.5 CGPA is 85 percent.
