Why we built this
Knowing where you stand in a class shouldn't require digging through a confusing LMS interface or doing mental math the night before finals. We set out to make a small set of calculators that answer the questions students actually ask:
- What's my current grade?
- What do I need on the final to end up with a B?
- How does my GPA change if I retake this course?
- What's an A on a 7-point scale vs. a 10-point scale?
How we verify accuracy
Every formula on this site is cross-checked against primary academic sources and reviewed on a recurring cycle by our editorial team.
1. Source review
We consult College Board grade-conversion tables, university registrar policies, and NCES grading scale standards before shipping any calculator.
2. Formula validation
Every calculator ships with a documented formula, worked examples, and edge-case test values. Formulas are reviewed by educators before release.
3. Periodic audit
Tier 1 calculators are re-audited every six months. The "Reviewed" date in the footer of each calculator reflects the most recent editorial pass.
Results are always estimates; your institution's registrar is the source of truth. For a full statement of how we source formulas, review pages, and handle corrections, see our editorial standards. If you spot a discrepancy, let us know and we'll investigate within 48 hours.
Privacy by design
No accounts, no logins, no academic data collection. Every grade you enter stays in your browser. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (which collects no personal data and sets no cookies) to understand which calculators are most useful.
